Artists of Abraham Lincoln portraits
A reference file assembled by the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection documenting the painters and sculptors who portrayed Abraham Lincoln, among them the African American artist David Bustill Bowser, drawn largely from 1890s American newspaper and periodical clippings. The 52 pictures are coarse halftone and process reproductions of portrait photographs, paintings and busts, badly degraded into blown-out whites, blotted blacks and visible screen grain.
