The art of Florence, an interpretation
A 1912 survey of Florentine Renaissance art written by Harry Huntington Powers and published by Macmillan in New York for general readers and travelers. The plates are grey halftones of frescoes, panel paintings and carved stone, cropped close to single figures and reliefs, with short numbered captions naming work, chapel and date — useful for nude figure studies, drapery folds and ornamental relief bands.
