The art of the Vienna galleries : giving a brief history of the public and private galleries of Vienna, with a critical description of the paintings therein contained.
A 1911 guidebook by David C. Preyer, published in Boston by L.C. Page & Co., surveying the public and private picture galleries of Vienna for American travellers and art students. The 49 plates are halftone reproductions of Old Master paintings — Rembrandt portraits, Titian madonnas, saints with attributes — printed grey and soft, with captions, plate numbers and collection credits set in the margins; useful for figure poses, drapery, and period plate layout.
