Art potteries.
An 1887 trade catalogue of art pottery issued by Ovington Brothers, a Brooklyn china and glass firm, to sell decorated tableware and toilet ware to household buyers. Line engravings in warm brown ink show pitchers, basins, covered dishes, plates and cups with transfer-printed floral bands and sprays, drawn with fine hatching and useful as ready-made vessel silhouettes, border patterns and small spot motifs.
