Art & religion
A 1921 Yale University Press study of worship, church architecture and Christian symbolism by the Unitarian minister Von Ogden Vogt, addressed to clergy, architects and students of liturgy. The thirty plates are sepia halftone photographs of church interiors, many credited to Cram & Ferguson, showing nave arcades, chancel arches, tracery windows, altars and rows of pews in deep tonal contrast that suits duotone backgrounds, silhouetted arch shapes and architectural collage.
