Art & religion
A 1921 Yale University Press treatise by Von Ogden Vogt on worship, liturgy and church design, addressed to Protestant clergy and architects rebuilding American church interiors. The plates are soft grey halftone photographs of naves, chancels and altars by Cram & Ferguson, Bertram Goodhue and Allen & Collens, with architect credits set along the edge — useful for arcade rhythms, tracery silhouettes and deep interior shadow.
