Arts and crafts essays
A collection of essays by members of the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society on design and handicraft trades, published in London by Longmans, Green in 1903 for practising craftsmen, students and teachers. The pictures here are line diagrams of embroidery stitches — needle and thread shown mid-pull, dotted lines marking the pattern beneath, petal outlines filled with long-and-short shading — usable as sewing motifs, instructional line art, or open-contour repeat elements.
