The arts and crafts of ancient Egypt
A survey of Egyptian art and manufacture written by the archaeologist Flinders Petrie and published by T. N. Foulis in London and Edinburgh in 1910, aimed at students and collectors. Numbered halftone plates group photographs of carved relief heads, royal portrait sculpture, papyrus and lotus capitals, hieroglyphic panels and painted ornament bands against black grounds, usable as silhouettes, motif sources and texture.
