The arts and crafts of older Spain
Leonard Williams's three-volume survey of Spanish decorative arts, published in London by T.N. Foulis in 1907 for collectors and students of Hispano-Moresque metalwork, ceramics, textiles and furniture. Halftone photographs isolate single objects against black grounds — pierced key shanks, arcaded silver reliefs, sword hilts with scrolled quillons — giving clean silhouettes, Kufic-style ornament and repeating arch patterns for cutouts or pattern work.
