The assassination of Abraham Lincoln
A clippings file assembled in the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection around the 1865 assassination and funeral train, gathering later American newspaper features on railroad men who ran the cortege, among them engineer George E. Buck. The pictures are coarse halftone portraits of bearded and elderly men, cropped with printed captions, plus a composite page pairing Lincoln's head with a route map of eastern cities and a small inked funeral train; useful for dot-screen texture, caption blocks and collaged map-and-portrait layouts.
