The assassination of Abraham Lincoln
A documentary file from the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection on Abraham Lincoln's assassination and 1865 funeral train, gathering American photographs, press halftones and clippings for historians and archivists. The 80 images center on the United States presidential railroad car, shown in yards, draped in mourning swags and rosettes, and later on museum display, offering coarse-screen halftone texture, silhouetted rolling stock and period funerary ornament.
