Astronomical tables with precepts, both in English and Latin, for computing the places of the sun, moon, planets, and comets
Edmond Halley's astronomical tables and computational precepts, printed in English and Latin in London in 1752 for astronomers and navigators calculating positions of the sun, moon, planets, and comets. The plates are small woodcut geometry diagrams set into letterpress pages: lettered points, radiating straight lines, arcs and baselines, useful as line-only figures or as textured page fragments.
