Astronomie
Joseph Jérôme Lalande's Astronomie, a French astronomical treatise published in Paris in 1771 for astronomers and mathematically trained readers; this copy came from John Adams's library. The engraved plates hold zodiac dials ringed with degree scales and constellation names, plus dense sheets of numbered geometric diagrams in fine line — usable as circular scale motifs, lettered construction lines, and diagram grids.
