Astronomische Nachrichten
Astronomische Nachrichten is a German astronomical journal begun in 1823 and later run by the Astronomische Gesellschaft and the Berlin academy, written by and for working astronomers reporting observations and calculations. The plates are plain engraved and lithographed line work: peaked curves plotted over ruled grids, ray paths with labelled angles crossing media boundaries, and concentric annotated circles on graph paper, useful as diagrammatic pattern and technical linework.
