Astronomische Ortsbestimmung im Ballon
A German technical manual by astronomer Adolf Marcuse, published in Berlin by G. Reimer in 1909, explaining how to fix geographical position from a balloon by astronomical observation, aimed at aeronauts and surveyors. Plates include two-colour star charts with red-dotted bright stars and labelled constellations, line diagrams of compass bearings and angles, and a map of Germany overlaid with magnetic declination curves.
