A school astronomy textbook by Isaac Sharpless and George Morris Philips, published in Philadelphia by J. B. Lippincott in 1892 for classroom use and lay readers. Plates print white on solid black: circular star maps with gridlines and constellation figures, star-cluster fields, crescent-lit planetary discs, and Saturn's ring tilt traced around an orbit, all usable as reversed-out diagram art.
