An atlas of astronomy; a series of seventy-two plates, with introduction and index
A 72-plate star atlas by the Irish astronomer Robert Stawell Ball, issued in New York by D. Appleton in 1892 for students and amateur observers. The plates are engraved line work: gridded star charts with graded dots for magnitude, ruled coordinate borders and constellation labels, circular all-sky maps marked with month and hour, and outline lunar drawings numbering craters along the terminator.
