Georges Bohn's 1905 Paris monograph reports laboratory experiments on how light steers the movement of marine animals, written for French zoologists studying phototaxis and phototropism. The plates are line diagrams: rectangular arenas crossed by traced paths, solid and dashed curves, and small barbed arrowheads marking direction, useful as ready-made motion notation, path-tracking marks, and sparse arrow vocabularies.
