Aurum aurae : vi magnetismi universalis attractum
A short Latin alchemical treatise by Christian Adolph Balduin on the "gold of the air" drawn out by universal magnetism, printed at Cölln an der Spree (Berlin) by Rupert Völcker in 1674 for physicians and natural philosophers. The scanned pages here are the binding's block-printed decorated paper: a diagonal repeat of red quatrefoil sprigs with dark green centres over a grid of green and red dots on tan, usable as seamless tiling patterns, worn-ink texture, and a limited red-green-buff palette.
