Autobiographical notes of the life of William Bell Scott : and notices of his artistic and poetic circle of friends, 1830 to 1882
Posthumous memoir of the Scottish painter and poet William Bell Scott, edited by William Minto and published in London by Osgood, McIlvaine in 1892 for readers following the Pre-Raphaelite circle. The plates reproduce Scott's own etchings and pen drawings: dense cross-hatched lamplit interiors, a crowded allegorical composition of workshops and machinery, a bowed head study of clasped hands, and loose ink townscapes of spires and stepped streets, useful as line textures, figure gestures and skyline sketches.
