Automobile cam design
A 1916 engineering thesis by Adolph Lincoln Nelson at the University of Illinois, working out the geometry of automobile camshaft profiles for students and mechanical engineers. Its plates are hand-drawn in blue ink on cream paper: circles, tangents, arcs and lettered angle notation, plus a valve tappet in section, offering ready-made technical line diagrams and construction geometry.
