Air Wonder Stories, May 1930

1930 · 7 pictures

An American science-fiction pulp magazine issued monthly by Hugo Gernsback in New York, sold on newsstands to readers of aviation and scientific romance; the May 1930 number carries stories by Carl Repp, Wood Jackson, Leslie F. Stone and L. A. Eschbach. The plates are black-and-white story headings by Frank R. Paul and others, combining hand-lettered display titles with dense pen-and-ink scenes of dirigibles, radio towers, domed cities and winged figures, useful for lettering models, ray-beam effects and machine-age perspective.
