Corneille Agrippa : sa vie et ses œuvres
A two-volume French scholarly biography of the Renaissance occult philosopher Cornelius Agrippa, written by the Metz historian Auguste Prost and published by Champion in Paris in 1881 for historians of science and magic. Illustration is sparse: a fine-line profile portrait of a man in a soft slashed cap and fur-collared gown, built from parallel hatching and left unshaded against blank paper, useful as a model for economical pen-line portraiture and sixteenth-century costume detail.
