Tractatus physico-medicus de incantamentis, sexaginta casus ... complectens ... Cui ... accesserunt, varia huc spectantia
A Latin treatise on incantations, magic and witchcraft compiled by the Nuremberg physician Georg Abraham Mercklin and printed by J. F. Rüdiger in 1715 for physicians, jurists and learned readers. The illustrations are letterpress tailpieces: small triangular and fan-shaped woodcut ornaments built from acanthus scrolls, foliage and fruit such as pomegranates and grapes, useful as section dividers, black-and-white spot ornament, or stencil-like silhouette shapes.
