Watts, Isaac, 1674-1748 · 1728 · London : J. Clark and R. Hett · 4 pictures

An introductory astronomy and geography textbook by the English hymnwriter and logician Isaac Watts, published in London in 1728 for students learning to use globes, maps and scales. The plates are engraved diagram sheets, numbered Fig. XXVIII onward, mixing geometric line constructions with a small ringed orb and clusters of stars, plus faint show-through of a gridded regional map; useful for line-work diagram borrowings, constellation dot patterns and aged paper texture.
