Ueber Aberglauben und Mysticismus in der Medizin
A lecture-length German treatise on superstition and mysticism in medicine by the physician Siegmund Rosenstein, published in Berlin by C.G. Lüderitz in 1866 for medical readers and an educated lay public. The plates reproduce medieval manuscript miniatures and early modern scenes of healing—bloodletting, uroscopy, bedside consultation, a surgical restraint—in coarse halftone, giving flat robed figures, grid-panel layouts and grainy grey tone useful for historical collage.
