A collector's survey by Edwin Pearson, published in London in 1890, reprinting the woodblocks of Banbury chapbooks and children's toy books from the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries for bibliophiles and antiquarian booksellers. The cuts are small relief engravings worked in coarse parallel hatching: costumed figures in interiors and hedgerow landscapes, sheep and trees, narrow horizontal strips of several scenes, and historiated initials enclosing street groups, usable as spot illustrations, borders and drop caps.
