Banners, standards, and badges, from a Tudor manuscript in the College of Arms
A 1904 De Walden Library facsimile edition, edited under Lord Howard de Walden with the College of Arms, reproducing a Tudor manuscript roll of English banners, standards and badges for heraldists and antiquarians. Line drawings show crowned lions, double-headed eagles, griffins, trees, suns and knotted scrolls set on long tapering standards, with blazon captions naming tinctures — useful as clean outline beasts, badge motifs and pennant shapes.
