Baroque architecture and sculpture in Italy
Corrado Ricci's 1912 survey of Italian Baroque architecture and sculpture, issued in New York by Dutton for architects, students and collectors. Full-page photographic plates, mostly by Alinari and Moscioni, show palace courtyards, church façades, carved doorways and figure groups in heavy sepia contrast, useful for architectural ornament, cartouche and column details, and deep-shadow building silhouettes.
