A volume of the official inventory of architectural and artistic monuments of Westphalia, compiled by A. Ludorff for the provincial association and published in Münster from 1897 for architects, preservationists and local historians. Halftone photographs of stone church portals, incised grave slabs and tall stepped gables sit beside measured ink elevations, giving designers crisp outline drawings of Renaissance facade profiles and weathered masonry and tracery detail.
