Bead stringing
A 1904 handwork manual from the Chicago Kindergarten College, compiled under Elizabeth Harrison, teaching bead stringing as classroom seat work for young children and their teachers. Sepia plates show rows of strung cords hanging side by side, built from cubes, spheres, discs and rings in repeating rhythms—usable as vertical border rules, beaded dividers, modular pattern units, and simple counting-sequence diagrams.
