A German-language art-historical study of Transylvania by Victor Roth, published in Strassburg by J.H.E. Heitz in 1914 for scholars of church architecture and liturgical metalwork. The halftone plates are photographs of Gothic chalices, chased and enamelled stems and feet, vaulting ribs, and carved stone detail, printed dark and grainy, useful for silhouettes of vessel profiles, repeating knop and tracery motifs, and coarse-textured monochrome source material.
