Bernstein
A German handbook on worked amber by Otto Pelka, published in Berlin by R. C. Schmidt & Co. in 1920 for collectors and museum curators. The 137 halftone photographs show carved amber vessels, lidded tankards, caskets, mirror frames and turned stems against plain grounds, supplying baroque scrollwork, figure reliefs, foliate borders and an empty oval cartouche ready for lettering.
