A museum catalogue of medieval and Renaissance Christian sculpture in the Berlin Royal Museums, compiled by Wilhelm Bode and Hugo von Tschudi and published by Spemann in 1888 for curators, collectors and students of art history. Line engravings record carved reliefs, terracotta roundels and free-standing figures: Madonnas, angels, seated evangelists, mounted riders and beasts under arched frames, plus della Robbia-style circular borders of fruit, leaves and cherub heads useful as medallion and frame stock.
