A museum catalogue of the Berlin Royal Museums' collection of Christian-era sculpture and casts, compiled by Wilhelm Bode and Hugo von Tschudi and published by Spemann in Berlin in 1888 for curators, collectors and students of medieval and Renaissance art. The plates are photographic groupings of small reliefs, plaquettes, medals, ivory panels and statuettes arranged on plain grounds, giving designers a stock of round, oval and rectangular carved panels, figure groups and ornamental frames in soft grey halftone.
