Weinmann, Marcus, 18th cent, Landerer, Ferdinand, 1730 or 46-1795, Fernstein, Joseph von, 18th cent · 1784 · Pressburg : Bey Anton Löwe, Buchdrucker und Buchhändler · 25 pictures

A German-language description of Prince Esterházy's palace at Esterháza (Fertőd) in Hungary, published at Pressburg by Anton Löwe in 1784 with engravings by Ferdinand Landerer after Marcus Weinmann and Joseph von Fernstein, addressed to courtly and gentry readers curious about the estate. The plates combine ruled-border perspective views of courtyards, garden buildings and theatre interiors with folding ground plans, giving designers hatched roof and shingle textures, clipped tree symbols, parterre patterns, scale bars and small staffage figures.
