Beschryving van's Graven-hage
Jacob de Riemer's Dutch-language description and history of The Hague, printed at Delft by Reinier Boitet in 1730 for local readers, antiquarians and subscribers. The folding copperplate engravings give frontal and oblique views of civic buildings, almshouses, courtyards and canal frontages, each framed by trees and ribbon title cartouches and peopled with small staffage figures, coaches, horsemen and dogs—useful for architectural elevations, period carriages and cut-out crowd figures.
