A descriptive catalogue of the wood engravings of Thomas and John Bewick, compiled by Thomas Hugo from his own collection and published in London by L. Reeve in 1866 for collectors and bibliographers. The cuts are small white-line wood engravings: hunting and riding scenes, cottages and stone walls, riverbanks, and densely worked trees and hedgerow foliage, useful as vignettes, tailpieces and small landscape spots with strong black-and-white texture.
