The Bhilsa topes; or, Buddhist monuments of central India:
Alexander Cunningham's 1854 archaeological report on the Buddhist stupas at Sanchi and nearby Bhilsa, published in London by Smith, Elder for antiquarians and colonial officials. Engraved plates give measured plans, sections and elevations of brick domes, plus outlines of relic caskets, railing pillars and carved reliefs — usable as fine-line diagram stock, circular plan motifs and vessel silhouettes.
