Bibliographical essays
A posthumous collection of Robert Proctor's studies of fifteenth-century printing, edited with Alfred W. Pollard and printed at the Chiswick Press in London in 1905 for subscribers to the Proctor memorial fund, aimed at bibliographers and incunabula scholars. Its plates reproduce early printers' woodcut initials, type specimens and device marks in stark black line, offering interlaced knotwork capitals and historical letterforms for tracing or display type.
