Bibliotheca Maphaei Pinellii Veneti magno jam studio collecta
A catalogue of the Venetian collector Maffeo Pinelli's library of manuscripts, incunabula and classical and Italian texts, compiled by Jacopo Morelli and printed in Venice by Carlo Palese in 1787 for booksellers and collectors at its sale. The nine pictures are small relief ornaments used to break the text: reclining sphinxes flanking an urn on a garlanded plinth, curled acanthus tailpieces, a fruit basket on clouds, and a sketchy landscape vignette with a round tower, all usable as rules, section marks and spot motifs.
