Bibliotheca Maphaei Pinellii Veneti magno jam studio collecta
A printed catalogue of Maffeo Pinelli's Venetian library of incunabula, manuscripts and vellum-printed books, compiled by Jacopo Morelli and issued in Venice by Carlo Palese in 1787 for collectors, dealers and bibliographers. The pictures are small letterpress woodcut ornaments in coarse black line: rococo scroll cartouches, bearded mask heads tied with ribbons and foliage, and paired reclining lions flanking a fluted urn on a panelled plinth hung with flower swags, usable as headpieces, tailpieces, dividers and spot motifs.
