Bibliotheca numismatica : exhibens catalogum auctorum qui de re monetaria et numis tam antiquis quam recentioribus scripsere
A Latin bibliography of writings on coins and money, compiled by the Nuremberg scholar Johann Christoph Hirsch and printed there in 1760 by the Felsecker heirs for collectors and antiquarian scholars. The plates run from an engraved frontispiece of a vaulted library hung with busts and allegorical figures to rococo head- and tailpieces whose asymmetrical cartouches frame coin cabinets, urns, ruins and small landscapes, giving designers ready ornamental frames, scrollwork and shelved-interior detail.
