Bibliotheca Spenceriana; or, A descriptive catalogue of the ... library of George John, earl Spencer
Thomas Frognall Dibdin's descriptive catalogue of Earl Spencer's library at Althorp, printed in London in 1814 for collectors and bibliographers of incunabula. The plates are facsimile line copies of fifteenth-century woodcuts and type specimens — mounted archers, stoning and martyrdom scenes, saints in hilly landscapes with castles — useful for coarse outline figures, hatched ground, and blackletter lettering.
