Biologia Centrali-Americana, or, Contributions to the knowledge of the fauna and flora of Mexico and Central America
The archaeology volumes of the Biologia Centrali-Americana, issued in London from 1889 by Alfred Percival Maudslay with epigrapher J. T. Goodman under editors Godman and Salvin, recording Maya monuments and inscriptions for scholars of Mexico and Central America. The plates are line drawings of carved glyph blocks, drawn in even outline without shading: grid-arranged inscription panels, head-variant numerals with profile faces, and single cartouches showing scrolls, dotted fields and cross-hatching that read clearly at small sizes.
