A geographical dictionary of Italy compiled by Amato Amati and published in Milan from 1868, issued in parts for readers consulting town and province entries. The plates are hand-coloured civic coats of arms, numbered figures on small shields: masonry towers and castles, winged lions and griffins, crosses, stars and single trees, in flat red, blue, silver and green.
