Histoire de deux ans, 1870-1871. (tom. 4. Continuée par M. Albert Maurin.)
A French popular history of the Franco-Prussian War and the Commune, written by Émile Valentin César Faure with Albert Maurin and Alfred d'Aunay and published in Paris in 1872 for a general readership following recent events. The plates are wood-engraved bust portraits of officers and politicians, vignetted in oval or cloudy hatched grounds, giving designers epaulettes, medal clusters, spectacles and beards rendered in fine parallel line.
