Mansfield Park: a novel
An illustrated edition of Jane Austen's Mansfield Park, drawn by Hugh Thomson with an introduction by Austin Dobson, published by Macmillan in London in 1897 for late-Victorian readers of the novel. The pen-and-ink plates show Regency figures in doorways, parlours and streets, captioned with lines of dialogue, useful for period costume, furniture silhouettes and economical line-hatched interiors.
