Walks about Warrington towards the beginning of the present century, etc
Local topographical reminiscences of Warrington, Cheshire, written by the antiquarian William Beamont and printed at the town's Guardian Office in 1887 for local readers and subscribers. Line drawings mix pen sketches of academy and church buildings among trees with hatched botanical studies of leafy herbs and roots, plus a roundel initial showing a robed figure picking a plant — usable as vignettes, spot plants and drop caps.
