Art and Song. A series of original ... engravings from masterpieces of art of the nineteenth century accompanied by a selection of the choicest poems in the English language. Edited by R. Bell
A Victorian gift anthology edited by Robert Bell, pairing English poems with steel engravings after nineteenth-century paintings, issued in London by J. S. Virtue & Co. in 1892 for middle-class parlour readers. The plates are soft grey vignettes with edges fading into blank paper: mountain lakes, cliff tops over rough sea, ruined towers, figures small in landscape—useful for faded tonal backgrounds and oval frames.
